About Stasilon®
Stasilon® is a unique medical dressing that facilitates hemostasis through a unique, patent protected, dual fiber (glass and rayon from bamboo) woven material. It was originally engineered in cooperation with the Office of Naval Research to address critical military medical needs for an effective but low cost hemostatic dressing. What makes Stasilon® extremely effective is its ability to absorb blood, stop bleeding and then be easily removed from the wound. The competitive advantage Stasilon® has over other wound management and hemostatic products is based upon Stasilon's® ability to decrease blood loss by improving the rate and degree of clot formation without any drugs, chemicals, or biologic (animal or human) agents. Stasilon® hemostatic bandages are FDA 510k cleared and available in multiple sizes to best meet your wound care needs.
Indications for use: Stasilon® is single-use hemostatic wound dressing applied externally with mechanical compression to temporarily control bleeding in lacerations, punctures, abrasions and incisions.
About NuvaDerm™
NuvaDerm™ is a polymer based, liquid bandage for use to cover intact skin and minor cuts, scrapes, burns and irritations of the skin, to help keep them clean and dry and help protect them from infection. As such, it is not a product for use in open wound or bleeding situations, where Stasilon® would be used to control bleeding before application. NuvaDerm™ can be applied either as a spray or with an applicator brush. It is fast drying, transparent and waterproof. While providing a barrier against moisture, it is gas-permeable to allow oxygen to reach the wound to facilitate healing and wears off naturally as the area heals. NuvaDerm's™ fast application, by spray or brush, quick drying and covering characteristics, as well as certain antimicrobial properties are believed by the Company to make NuvaDerm™ well suited to meet the needs of health care professionals and individuals in treating minor wounds.
Indications for use: To cover intact skin or minor cuts, scrapes, burns and irritations of the skin, to help keep them clean and dry and help protect them from infection.
About NuvaVet™
NuvaVet™ is a breathable liquid bandage for use on small and large animals, to treat minor cuts, bites, scrapes, hotspots, burns or other irritations of the skin, to help keep them clean, dry, and aids to protect the wound from infection. NuvaVet™ is a product that you can carry for your pet at all times. Traditional wound care can be time-consuming to administer and typically requires bulky dressings that can become soiled with wound exudates, serving as a breeding ground for microbes. NuvaVet™ was formulated to allow instant application of a thin, elastic film that serves as a barrier to moisture and microbial contamination, but is permeable to oxygen and water vapor. NuvaVet™ may be applied by spray or brush to better treat minor wounds.
Indications for use: Use on small and large animals, including dogs, cats, horses, and birds. For use on intact skin, paws, or hooves, or to treat minor cuts, bites, scrapes, hotspots, burns or other irritations of the skin, to help keep them clean, and dry, and help protect them from infection.
